What goes into every edition

Four kinds of evidence, one clear picture.

Search data shows what people want right now. Industry research, government data and the news explain why, and who is asking. Each edition puts them side by side so you can act on a trend early. The numbers below are from the October 2026 restaurant edition: 19 findings, each with its source.

4

Search analyses. Google Trends for Houston, Texas cities and the US, week by week for up to five years.

10

Industry and company sources. The National and Texas Restaurant Associations, OpenTable, Square, Placer.ai, YouGov, the Michelin Guide, Houston First and public company filings.

5

Government data sets. Houston restaurant jobs, prices and job openings from the BLS, plus US Census and USDA data.

4

News reports. Nation's Restaurant News, Community Impact, Hoodline and FOX 26.

How it works

From raw searches to a decision.

Every figure on screen carries its source. Where we make a judgement call, we say so.

Score the searches

The last 13 weeks against the same weeks a year ago, and against the quarter before. Each term is measured against a steady search, so a seasonal swing doesn't look like a trend.

Find the evidence

For each rising term: the publications, news, launches, rule changes and surveys that explain it. We open every source and drop anything we can't confirm.

Who and why

Who is searching each trend, what they want, the risk and the opening for your business, side by side for every trend.

The briefing

A narrated film of about six minutes, a different chart on every page, plus the research file with every source. A new edition every month.

What you get

A briefing your team will actually watch.

Every month: a narrated film of about six minutes for your industry, with your state and city next to the national picture. The research file with every source behind it. Five moves for the month ahead, one per trend.

Twelve kinds of chart, each picked for its data, so the story stays clear from the first page to the last.

Questions

What customers ask us

Which industries can you cover?

Any industry where people search, publish and report: health, retail, hospitality, energy, staffing, real estate and more. We agree the topics, the competitors to watch and the local areas with you before the first edition.

How do you measure a trend?

We compare the last 13 weeks of Google searches for a term with the same weeks a year earlier and with the 13 weeks before, each measured against a steady search so seasonal swings don't mislead. Then every trend is checked against the publications, news and surveys behind it.

Can it focus on my city?

Yes. Each edition shows the US, your state and your metro area side by side, so you can see where your market runs ahead of the country or behind it.

How often do we get a new edition?

Every month, on the first Tuesday. Each edition says what changed since the last one: new entrants, trends that cooled, and rules that moved.

Where do the numbers come from?

Every chart carries its source line on screen, and the research file lists every source with a link. Where a page is our own judgement, such as who is searching a trend or where to act first, it says so.

Can we share it with our team?

Yes. Each edition comes with a page your team can open to watch the film and jump to each trend.

Sample edition · Men's health · 20 Oct 2026

Five men's health trends, explained in six minutes.

Made for a men's health clinic in Houston: the topics men are searching for this fall, who is searching, and what a clinic can offer. Pick a trend to jump to its chapter.

  1. Peptides

    2.17×US · Texas 2.48×

Injections for recovery, skin, belly fat and hormones. A plan to let pharmacies make some peptides reached the White House on 14 Oct, but none can legally be compounded yet.

Who's searching Men who lift and train, 20s to 50s
  2. Retatrutide, the next weight-loss shot

    2.92×Houston · US 2.75×

Up to 23% weight loss in trials and not yet approved. Some men buy it online as a "research chemical". The opening: approved options now, a doctor's waitlist for later.

    Who's searching Men 30 to 60
  3. GLP-1 pills

    172,000Wegovy pill prescriptions a week

A new category in 2026. Foundayo searches rose 55% on the previous quarter, the only climb of any term tracked, and 11% of US adults now take a GLP-1.

Who's searching Men 35 to 64 who don't want needles
  4. Looksmaxxing

    2.42×US · Texas 2.54×

Young men trying to maximize their looks, from hair and skin to risky extremes. The safe side, oral minoxidil for hair, is up a fifth. The opening is adult care with a medical screen.

Who's searching Mostly 15 to 25, plus men in their 20s and 30s
  5. Testosterone goes mainstream

    +63%prescriptions in 3 years (CT)

Searches are flat, but prescriptions and news are not: July brought the biggest testosterone news in two years. Only about 1 in 5 men who ask have low testosterone.

Who's searching Men 30 to 55 who want their number

6 minutes · 20 pages · narrated · sources on every chart

Sample edition · Rising and fading

What men searched more, and less, this fall.

From the men's health clinic edition. Search interest in the last 13 weeks against the same weeks a year ago, US. The dashed line is no change.

Rising

Times last year's search interest

Kisspeptin3.13×
Tesamorelin3.02×
Retatrutide2.75×
Looksmaxxing2.42×
Peptides2.17×
Tirzepatide1.57×
Oral minoxidil1.20×

Fading

Times last year's search interest

Testosterone booster0.71×
Compounded semaglutide0.69×
“TRT clinic”0.67×
“Ozempic face”0.47×
Methylene blue0.35×

Men are moving from supplements to real tests, and they search for the drug and the test, not for a "TRT clinic".

How to read the numbers: 2.17× means searches in the last 13 weeks were 2.17 times the same weeks a year ago, measured against a steady health search. 1.0× is no change. Small terms move more, so we only call a trend when the news, publications or surveys agree.
